During the conversation hours, lectures are given on Mexican history, Mayan Culture, national holidays, etc.

In the afternoons we offer workshops and activities that include cooking, arts and crafts, salsa classes, singing Mexican songs, a fiesta or a picnic. A movie is shown every week and with Playa’s great location, you can enjoy a great variety of excursions: Tulum, Xcaret, Chichen-Itza...

• Tulum: This archeological site is perhaps the most beautiful, combining the mystery of the ancient civilization which inhabited this zone with the beauty of the Caribbean sea which bathes its shores.

• Coba and Cenote: An impressive Mayan center, deep in the jungle and one of the most beautiful Cenotes in the jungle offering the chance to swim and snorkel.

• Sian-ka´an: Here you can take a tour through a huge natural biosphere and see many endangered species and crocodiles.

• Xcaret: A natural Mexican theme park where you can swim with dolphins, visit an aviary, enjoy a Mayan show and see the Mexican Folkloric Ballet.

• Chichen-Itza: One of the most important Mayan centers. The Mexican Carribean is one of the best places in the world to scuba dive and snorkel. Playa del Carmen has some of the best reefs for you to experience the natural wonders of thr Carribean Sea.

• Akumal: The site of several Spanish galleon shipwrecks, Akumal offers fine white sandy beaches that are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Turtles can be found laying eggs on the beaches at night from April to July.

• Puerto Morelos: Home to a marine natural park, Puerto Morelos boasts a wide variety of multicolored tropical fish, dolphins and turtles, as well as breathtaking coral reefs. An ideal spot to go scuba diving or snorkeling.

There is a lot to explore around Playa del Carmen. You can hop on the ferry to Cozumel for world-class scuba diving, explore an abundance of nearby Mayan ruins or head to Cancún for shopping and wild nightlife.
